115 years old and in need of a little Tender Love and Care, that’s what we saw when we visited this quaint little terraced cottage in Millbridge Plymouth.
The owners were selling the property and wanted to fix those niggling little things prior to putting it on the market; PJB Building and Property Maintenance were asked to provide a complete makeover for the rear of the property and we were happy to oblige.
Some internal water damage was evident on the inside of the stairwell and bedroom, so we set about cleaning everything down with a power hose to remove any mould, loose paint and expose any damaged areas.
Once complete the whole building was checked for cracks and imperfections, repaired and sealed with two good coats of Thompson Water Sealer on the walls and a five star wood preservative on all the timber.
The whole building was painted with two coats of Dulux Masonry Paint on the walls and one coat of Dulux exterior undercoat and two coats of gloss to all the external woodwork. Of course we fixed those little internal problems as well and I must say it looked terrific,
Wouldn’t you agree?
It’s important to remember that all painted houses require maintenance at some time or another; usually all it takes is a financial Investment and a few days’ hard work to turn what was once a tired old house back into a beautiful home again.
