January 2023 - PJB installed a large patio door with 3 panels. The work was efficiently and well done. We are very happy with the result. The door locks supplied needed a lot of adjustment and PJB took a lot of time to ensure perfection.
They are nice guys to deal with. Obliging and always helpful.

 

November 2021 - Covid has changed the way we work forever, as a seasoned professional with many years experience in the construction industry myself, staff shortages during the pandemic left my team understaffed so I asked long term colleagues at PJB to help construct a new build two bed holiday chalet at Cedar Park Bovisands.
Despite the issues that the pandemic threw at them the works were completed to a very high standard and within budget. The customer was thrilled with every aspect of the build and thought Pete and Jon were thoughtful and very diligent in every aspect of the works. Often making quick changes and adapting the project to meet the customer's needs as the project progressed. We are very grateful of their support and will be working much closer on other similar projects in the future.

February 2021 - PJB undertook an extension to our property, between Feb and Nov 2020. This was a delayed start, but we had been kept informed of the reasons for the delays and so that was not a major concern. Unfortunately, international events ended up disrupting our project - PJB managed to get the foundations poured the day of the first lockdown. The pandemic contributed significant problems relating to delays and also supply of various materials. Despite this, and associated delays, PJB worked reliably with us to ensure that we did not deviate too far from our budget, the project was completed to everyone's satisfaction. There has been some low level 'snags' to overcome since, and Pete, John and Bailey, have returned to rectify ASAP. Thanks.

November 2020 - PJB Building was exemplary in every way. Attention to every detail, perfectionist care, and nothing was too much for them. I am truly delighted with the standard of work.
they were careful, cheerful, and a pleasure to do business with.

 

March 2019 - PJB created a large garden room; turned a garage into to a fully fitted kitchen and created a very useful utility room and toilet. Two openings for access to the lounge and utility area were included, also a small patio, garden steps, retaining walls and much more. PJB kept us up to date with progress and issues when they occurred, offering positive ideas and alterations to improve the existing plans. From our very first meeting through to completion, we found the team to be trustworthy, hard-working and very conscientious with regard to every task they undertook. The completed project has totally changed the downstairs living space, providing a light and spacious feel to all the rooms. We are very pleased with everything and so are visitors. In short first class communication, team and job.

 

November 2018 - We are delighted with our new sunroom, it's even better than we imagined. Right from the first meeting Pete kept us informed about the start date & then, once the build was started, gave us a progress report each day and a plan for the next. Pete and Jon are very reliable and didn't go off site to do other work as we have heard that other builders can do. They were very approachable & eager to share their experience to help us decide on things such as window design, internal & external lighting, decking etc. They are totally trustworthy & we were happy to leave house keys with them. They are also very conscientious - and example of this was during a stormy weekend when Jon popped round to check that the tarpaulin covering the roof was secure. We have no hesitation in recommending PJB.

 

Oct 2018 - I have given PJB Builders 5 stars. It's just a pity I couldn't have given them 6 ! Being a tradesman myself in another field I can honestly say I have never received service like this from any builder previously.

I would 100 % recommend them for any job in their fields of operation. Peter and John delivered more than was originally intended, to the quoted price and on time. A great job all round.

 

Sept 2018 - Builders came to build an extension next door. I saw their work and asked them to build me a wall of which I was very happy with and the price was right.

 

Apr-2018 - We were very pleased with work, which was rerendering the back of our house and some internal replastering. It all went to schedule, Pete always kept us informed to the progress and what they planned to achieve the next day. A few small problems arose (you never know what youâll find when you start hacking stuff off) but they were all dealt with straight away. Best thing we can say is that we would use PJB again if we needed anything doing.

   

Apr-2018 - I was very pleased with the work carried out by PJB at my house. Pete kept me well informed throughout the process and made some great suggestions to get the best out of the property and budget. Standard of work is really high and the company were a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

 

Feb-2018 - Excellent and prompt service. Repairs to roof done to a high specification. The site was left clean and tidy. Would highly recommend. Thankyou to Pete And Jon for a job well done.

 

Jan-2018 - Pete and Jon made our dream come true! After being let down by another builder, Pete and Jon along with Billy the apprentice, came to our rescue. I believe they wanted us to have everything we dreamed of as they set about building the extension on the side of our bungalow. Nothing was too much trouble.Lots of extra tasks were cheerfully carried out. Always bright and cheerful they felt a bit like extended family as they worked in our home. We are delighted with the outcome.

 

Oct-2017 - PJB Building have just built a 40 m2 two storey extension to the front of our house, roughly doubling the size of two bedrooms, kitchen and dining room. From initial discussions about possibilities and options, negotiations on the contract, through to the build itself, Pete and Jon have done an outstanding job. The quality of their workmanship is excellent and they fully involved us in the design and build, adopting an accommodating and â

can-do approach throughout with a great problem-solving approach, inevitably on such a large project issues arose, but all were solved in a professional and innovative way, just what we wanted. They have constantly been professional, whilst at the same time adopting a very affable approach, even in the face of adversity, the weather! It is a tribute that a large number of people walking/driving past the building have commented very favourably on both the workmanship and final result. We have been very happy throughout and can thoroughly recommend PJB to anyone wanting building or maintenance work done. Thank you PJB!

 

July-2017 - The fact that everyone in the street has been asking for these guys number since completion speaks volumes. From providing us with our initial estimate, to completing the works carried out on our property, PJB Building and Property Maintenance have done an exceptional job.

 

They demolished the existing prefabricated garage from its current position, undertook a small-moderate landscape project and constructed a single storey dwelling. It is obvious to us that all the internal and external materials that were used throughout the works were of high quality, and the initial estimate that we were given was not altered at all (apart from the small-moderate landscape project they did for us which we only asked for a few weeks before they started...they were very patient with us and eager to make us customers very satisfied with the service they provided!) The internal finishes such as the skirting and painting, were also performed to a high standard.

 

The contract they provided us was clear and concise. This is the first time we have had any building work done on such a large scale, and the way they communicated with us (face to face, via email and phone calls), was excellent. They kept us constantly up to date with their progress and sometimes finished slightly later than planned on certain days, to ensure they stuck to the timeframe they gave us..they are very dedicated and hardworking!

 

We would recommend PJB Building and Maintenance to anyone looking for value for money and at the same time, those wanting to receive a five star service.

Jul-2017 - Had insulation put under tiles on house wall. They also built us a garage in 2016. Excellent service. Job well done. Nice trustworthy people to have on site.

 

Jun-2017 - I can't recommend these lovely chaps enough. They have used my driveway to complete an extension next door. They're a great team, working hard but always with a smile. Their work has been to an excellent standard. Polite and friendly.

 

May-2017 - Large patio completed to time and budget. We were kept up to date through out the project. Excellent quality of materials and workmanship. I would certainly recommend these guys to friends and family.

Mar-2017 - The level of service was excellent , from the minute details to the overall work. The kitchen which they did brought it from a sad looking kitchen to a modern light and super kitchen. New units , flooring , lighting and plumbing all done with great care.

May-2016 - I phoned PJB Buildings to receive a quote for an end of build snags list of works. Pete came round and discussed all the various works and costs. I was very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. I agreed for the works to be done.  All works were completed to high standard in a reasonable amount time for a very fair price. It's difficult to find honest, quality builders, so I cannot recommend this company enough.

 

If you need any building works large or small, I would use this company. I will be contacting them for any future services. Cant thank them enough. Very friendly and professional. They did a great job.
